In the previous post we were able to conoscere la storia della villa e ciò che la caratterizza.
Oggi potremo vedere, grazie alle foto, i satiri e satirelli, le ninfe ed i putti e tutte le creature mitologiche che la popolano.
La fontana della tartaruga, la grande fontana dei satiri, quella dei putti e quella delle sfingi.
La composizione dei dodici mesi ed il gruppo di Pan e Siringa.
Ma potremo anche scorgere, tra le sculture, tutta la bellezza che le palme nane e le palme altissime delle canarie insieme con i pini ed i cipressi mediterranei possono generare per il solo fatto di coesistere in un ambiente raccolto ed armonioso.
Inoltre, per capire meglio dove sono state scattate, le foto saranno presentate con l' ausilio di google maps che vi permettarà di seguire a path along the streets of Villa.

La Villa - Villa Sciarra

Today we visit one of the smaller and lesser-known City of Rome.

But even among the City's most unique and mysterious with its fountains and sculptures inspired by mythology.

In this area, in the Archaic period, was the sacred wood nymph to Furrina (little known and documented protective of water).

Later, this area was part of Caesar's horti that extended from Gianicolo and Monteverde to the Tiber.

The Villa was built in the fourteenth century and now lies at the foot of the Gianicolo for 7.5 acres bounded by the walls of Urban VIII Via Calandrelli (at number 23 is the main entrance of the five original) Via Dandolo.
The events related to the property, over time, are quite intricate.

Nel 1932 lo Stato Italiano la girò al Governatorato di Roma.

Attualmente la Villa è adibita a parco pubblico e purtoppo, da molti anni, non è oggetto di una degna manutenzione e cura.
